In the heart of Lourdes, facing the meadows of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, at 62 route de Pau, stands a haven of peace and light: Beth Mariam. This place of grace, imbued with serenity, invites every pilgrim to an inner journey, carried by the benevolent presence of the Virgin Mary.

Built to be a spiritual refuge, this house is home to a garden where silence turns to prayer, a large hall conducive to meeting and sharing, and a church dedicated to the Blessed Father Yaacoub, a figure of faith and surrender to God. Blessed in May 2009 by Monsignor Jacques Perrier, Bishop of Tarbes-Lourdes, it is a place where Heaven and Earth come together in divine harmony.

A Place of Grace and Reflection

Over time, Beth Mariam becomes the silent witness to many souls who come to lay down their joys, hopes, and burdens. In this house, Mary welcomes each one as her child, offering comfort and peace to those who seek refuge in her maternal love.

It is a place where one comes not only to rest but especially to be transformed. Under the gaze of Our Lady of Lourdes, hearts open, souls rise, and the Holy Spirit breathes gently, inspiring each person to walk the path of trust and surrender to God.

Mary, Mother of Graces and Guide on the Path

In this spiritual sanctuary, the Virgin dispenses countless graces to those who entrust themselves to her with faith. She calls us to renew our trust, to surrender ourselves without fear, so that, under her light, we may walk with the Holy Spirit, guided by her heavenly inspirations.

Abouna Yaacoub, our founder, reminded us with great wisdom during his visit to Lourdes in 1933: “He who comes to Lourdes is as if he has crossed three-quarters of the way to Heaven.”
