School history

The school of the Sisters of the Cross was founded in 1957 in Hrajel, after the death of Blessed Abouna Yaacoub, at the request of the inhabitants of the village, with the aim of rooting families in their villages.

At the beginning, this school was a primary free school then it was transformed into a private intermediary school in 1974 then into a secondary school in 1993. In 2008, it is transformed again to be an intermediary school because of the small number of the students of secondary classes.

It applies the official curricula approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, and ensures religious, cultural, artistic, scientific and sports activities. It should be noted that the school of the Sisters of the Cross in Hrajel is of a high scientific and academic level, so that its learners are among the first in official exams in the governorate of Mount Lebanon.

The school today

The school includes highly qualified teachers who have distinguished experience in the fields of education, teaching the students from Hrajel and neighboring villages. The school, from nursery cycle to complementary cycle, is distinguished by a spirit of cooperation with the committees: parents, teachers and students, because everyone works according to the spirituality and faith of the Founder, Blessed Abouna Yaacoub, despite economic and financial difficulties. Employees working in the school are also dedicated to the service of students, in a spirit of authentic belonging and free sacrifice.
